Juice Review

"Juice" or street cred is what four friends are in search of in Harlem, New York. But it all takes a turn for a worst when one of them chooses to go on a murder spree including one of his friends. The plot is great and the cinematography adds extra points to Ernest R. Dickerson new film Juice The movie starts with Bishop(Tupac Shakur), Q(Omar Epps), Steel(Jermaine Hopkins), Raheem(Khalil Kain) Q's character seems to be the main character of the story. Through out all of them he seems to be the only one to have a true hobby besides trying to find the "Juice". He like to throw all his problems on the turntables and scratch them away. Bishop the live wire of the group takes a turn for the worst due to the local gang that he crosses on a regular bases. After they rob the local corner Bishop experience a change of heart to not only life but his friends and his enemies. Bishop's role is an important one because it shows how once you start to lead your life in the wrong direction how you can lose all hope for the future.Tupac performance was overall the best he really got familiar with his character and played bishop to its highest potential Raheem, who seems to be the the peace keeper thorough the movie. Try to keep everyone from turning on each other and into situations that will get them into trouble. This movie capture the early 90's perfectly. Clothing, Locations, And what was hot then, Dj's. Also it capture the minds of young people in search to make a name for themselves every way and anyway possible. I feel Ernest inquired some of his own experiences to make this film as great of film as possible. If i was to rate this movie 5 stars because of the suspense factor. Also because of the performance of the actors. Plus the cinematography was on point. I recommend this movie to anyone who likes films such as Menace to Society, Boyz In The Hood, And Many More. Juice Is A Timeless Classic With it's Laugh and it's captivity factor. it was and is the display of a great film hands down.
